OS + Lighttpd comparison.

Arch Linux 2010.05 (i686) = 14MB RAM
Arch Linux 2010.05 (i686) + Lighttpd 1.4.28 base= 14MB RAM
Ubuntu 10.04 (x64) = 28MB RAM
Ubuntu 10.04 (x64) + Lighttpd 1.4.26 base= 29MB RAM
CentOS 5.5 (x64) = 65 RAM
CentOS 5.5 (x64) + Lighttpd 1.4.28 base = 66 RAM
Debian 5 (x64) = 16 RAM
Debian 5 (x64) + Lighttpd 1.4.19 base = 18 RAM
This is in no way a perfect test as the first one was on a local VM on my netbook while the other 3 were on a VM on the GigeNET Cloud (same exact VM, just with OS rebuild). All had the same amount of RAM. All 4 tests were done with a fresh OS image (although the VM templates may not be a base install) with all updates applied, Lighttpd installed with the built in package manager where able (rpmforge required for CentOS and manual install for Arch Linux) and a reboot.
