Fast Times at Ridgemont High

Watched this for the first time today. I know, it's an old movie that most people my age should have seen years ago. Well I didn't and while I found it entertaining, I didn't enjoy it as much as peer reviews said I should have. I liked some of the characters and while there were some big names in the cast I only enjoyed a few of them (mainly Judge Reinhold but Sean Penn had his moments).

I don't remember if there was a plot or not but I don't think that matters much with this movie. It reminded me a bit of National Lampoon's Senior Trip but not as funny.

I am a bit confused because this movie was supposed to display high school in the 80s but the movie came out in 1982 and was based off a book written in 1981 so how much of the 80s was really captured I haven't a clue.
